Normally we use ridged gourd in fish curry or with poppy seeds but this olden day recipe is tasty and easy to make.

Ridged gourd – 2
Mustard powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Green chili – 2 silted
Coconut grated – 1 tbsp
Salt & sugar – as per taste
Oil – 1tbsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
- Peel the skin of the ridged gourd and cut them into small pieces.
- Heat oil in pan and add ridged gourd, cover thhe pan and fry it.
- Now add turmeric powder, salt, sugar, mustard powder (mixed with water), coconut, silted chilies and water.
- Cook until the water dries up and the vegetable is cooked.
- Serve it with rice.
